Vintage SCADA software

  • We strongly believe that it was the first SCADA software in Yugoslavia implemented on the IBM PC computer.
  • Development was based on our earlier experience in SCADA design with VMS and PDP11 and iRMX86 and intel i260 machine.
  • The best we could buy 1989 in Yugoslavia was IBM PC compatible computer on 12MHz i80286 with 1MB RAM memory and EGA graphics card.
  • Project started on August 1989 and was finished and tested up to March 1990.
  • Data acquisition and control was implemented over 16 PLC based on the Intel MCS-51 (8031).
  • All code was writen on the Microsoft C 5.1 and MS DOS 3.3.

Main features

  • The acquisition and control of data for the temperature and flow of energofluids (hot and cold water, gas, technological water, etc.)
  • Maintaining and controlling the fire alarm system.
  • Managing the climate system.
  • Observing the consumption of electric energy, as well as the monitoring of both active and reactive power.
  • The list of alarms and warnings.

Technical data

  • Most control loops were in 16 PLCs that communicated with the central IBM PC over the RS485 interface.
  • Тhere are 128 analog inputs and 64 analog control outputs.
  • Тhere are 256 digital inputs and outputs.
  • Еnergy combustion monitoring and database archive.
  • Аctive and reactive electric power, measurement, storage and overflow alarms.
